When can I start?
New students are welcome any day of the week. Take a look at our schedule and for ages 8 – adult, find a To-Shin Do Level 1 day and time that works for you. For ages 4-7 pick a Mighty Dragons class.
Next, email us at info@questraleigh.com and let us know your name, age, and what day you’d like to come in and start your trial. Our class schedule doesn’t change often, but we do close for some holidays and very occasional training events—so it’s nice to confirm.
Can I watch a class before starting a trial? Absolutely. Drop by anytime to watch training and experience the dojo atmosphere for yourself. Our instructors will be happy to answer your questions between classes.
Your first class
Plan on arriving 15 minutes early for your first class, so that you can:
- Fill out our waiver and contact information form.
- Put on your new uniform. (We have private dressing rooms.)
- Pay for your trial. ($40 cash, check, or credit card.)
Please wear a t-shirt under your uniform. You can train barefoot or in socks. (Some students wear special training shoes called tabi or non-marking wrestling shoes.) No outdoor shoes are allowed on the training mats. We ask that you remove all jewelry and watches. Please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, or other strong fragrances.

Quest Raleigh Membership
$160/month
Unlimited classes. Train as often as you want. We recommend 2-3 classes per week.
No hidden fees for sign-ups, testing, or belts. No required gear, pads, or equipment.
No contracts. Don't get locked in long-term. Everyone in our dojo wants to be here.
Easy to cancel. Simply inform the front desk during business hours before the first of the month.
Family Pricing
$140/member for 2 family members.
$120/member for 3+ family members.

For one-time purchases, we accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.
For membership subscriptions, we highly prefer ACH (direct bank draft) payments, as they have the lowest processing fees by far—which makes a big difference for a small business like us!
We also accept cash, checks, all major credit cards, ApplePay, and GooglePay.
Quest Raleigh processes all membership payments on the first of the month.
When you finish your three-week trial and are ready to sign-up, you will be charged a prorated amount for the first month. Your first full payment will be on the first of the next month.
Students at Quest Raleigh do not have to purchase sparring gear, athletic cups, mouth protectors, helmets, training weapons, or other equipment.
If you are training several days a week and want to do less laundry, you may wish to purchase an additional uniform. At this time, additional uniforms are $35 and can be purchased at the front desk. Tops and bottoms cannot be purchased separately.
Students can wear any clean t-shirt under their gi top. Students who wish to train without their gi top need to wear a Quest Raleigh t-shirt (tucked in). T-shirts are available at the front desk for $20.
Students may go barefoot, wear clean socks, or wear special training shoes called tabi (tah-bee), which are $40-$60. If you would like to order tabi, please ask the front desk to email you our affiliate link for Amazon.
For information on specialty uniforms, heavy-weight fabric uniforms, traditional ninja uniforms, or at-home training equipment etc. please ask the front desk for pricing. These items are not required for training, but we’re happy to help you find a birthday present for yourself or another special ninja in your life.
We prefer a week’s notice to process your cancellation. At a minimum, you need to contact the front desk during business hours (we are closed Sundays and Monday) within 48 hours of the end of the month.
All Quest Raleigh membership payments run on the first of the month.
